Hoosier Lottery Greening of the Canal
Greening of the Canal presented by the Hoosier Lottery will be held on Thursday, March 14th with festivities beginning at 5:00pm in downtown Indianapolis at Ohio & West Street.
For the 23rd straight year, the Hoosier Lottery will help Indianapolis celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by making the downtown canal run green. If you have been part of this celebration in the past, you know it is a must-see. If you are new to Indianapolis, you don’t want to miss your chance to be part of the fun.

Thursday, March 14th
Location: On Ohio Street between West Street and Senate. We are located on the Canal just east of Fire Station 13 and across the Street from the Historical Society. This is a live media event.
Time: 5:00pm – 6:00pm / Greening approximately 5:45pm
Special Guests: Mayor Hogsett, Kevin Murray, Irish Citizen of the Year, Sarah Taylor (Executive Director, Hoosier Lottery)
Performance by: The Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers, Katherine Nagy w/ Gary Wasson, Jane Rupert & Pat Brearton
Food: BoxBurger Truck, Der Pretzel Wagen,
Parking: Surface lot at 801 W. Washington after 3:00pm
by the JW hotel. Machine takes cash or credit. There will
be a parking attendant till 6:00pm. You can still get out
of the lot by machine after 6:00pm. $3 for the first hour
and $8 after 2hrs. Look for rates past two hours on-site.
The state parking garages at Ohio and Senate and
on Washington close to West Street are available after
5:00pm for $10.
Ohio Street between West Street and Senate will be
blocked for the event from 3:00pm to 6:30pm.
